Explorers Climbing
On a cold, crisp, frost Sunday morning 6 Explorers, myself, Mike, Mandy and Ben headed off to Stone Farm nr East Grinstead to climb on the local sandstone rocks. Following the climbing at Swanage cliffs in July, sandstone is a very different rock to climb on providing a fresh challenge. It was also an opportunity for the leaders to further practice their own skills and for Ben to complete his assessment.
Having to deploy different climbing techniques to master the 'crack' (jamming your hands and feet into the crack) this was a much harder climb than had previously been attempted providing a greater challenge.
