Beavers' Summer 2012

During the Summer term of 2012 the 17th Reigate Beavers enthusiastically took part in a wide range of fun activities.

20.4.12 - Games / Swim up

The term started with the usual 'Games' and 'Swim up' night.  We said goodbye to 10 Beavers who ALL moved on to Cubs.

22.4.12 - St. George's Day Promise Renewal

A group of Beavers attended this event at Reigate College and had lots of fun joining in games with Beavers from all over the district.  We were able to mix with the other sections from the 17th Reigate and join Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and Leaders from the other groups whilst we all renewed our promises.

27.4.12 - All Aboard the Nutfield Express

On this sunny Friday evening the Beavers ventured out on an expedition between Redhill station and South Nutfield station.  The other passengers could certainly see us coming!!!

4.5.12 - All About Beavers - New Beavers Join

We welcomed 6 new Beavers into the colony and did some practise on how to roll scarves.

15.5.12 - Out and About in Priory Park

In preparation for the Beaver 'entertainment' at the 17th Reigate Open Evening, the Beavers learned to 'form, peel and go bananas' in the park!  Thanks to Mrs Badger for leading the rehearsals and finding the song.

25.5.12 - Out and About on Reigate Hill - Investing New Beavers

Another sunny evening for us to enjoy some team games at Reigate Fort before the new Beavers were invested.  Thanks for all the parents that turned up to see this.

1.6.12 - Diamond Jubilee Party

Cake, cake and more cake.  That's how the Beavers like to celebrate.  We also made a record length paper chain.

22.6.12 - Out and About - Reigate Hill in the Rain

Despite the lack of sun, the Beavers had a 'splashing' time getting very wet on the walk.  No puddle was safe and several Beavers needed to empty out their wet wellies before getting in the car to go home.

29.6.12 - Railway Safety

At this meeting, train driver Dan Owen (Samuel's Dad) came along to talk to the Beavers about being safe near the railway. Thanks Dan!

6.7.12 - Friendship and Caring for others

Anyone need a plaster?  Stephen Smith from St. John's Ambulance came along to show the Beavers how to do basic first aid.  All survived!

13.7.12 - Water, water everywhere at Ron's

We finished off the term in fine style with a full scale water fight at Ron's.  Some of the new Beavers were a little surprised at how wet they actually got !!!

A huge thank you to Tors and Connor, our two young leaders, who helped out last term and also to all of the parents for their support.
