The hills of Sandown Ski Centre beckoned on 2 March when 11 Explorers spent the evening skiing. For many this was their first time skiing, but after a few ‘bambi’ moments of unbalance they were all soon snow-ploughing their way down the slope. The lift from the bottom to the top provided a challenge for some, whilst the gracious lines and turns of an Olympic downhill skier were only hampered by the inconveniently placed tree which Albert seemed to find on each run! Move over Eddie the Eagle here comes Adam the Albatross, Patrick the Penguin, Rebecca the Robin and Bertie the Bluetit!
