Welcome to the highlights of the Beavers' Spring term. A big 'thank you' to all of our parent helpers and all of the Beavers for joining in so enthusiastically.
It has been a very busy term with lots of fantastic activities from visiting 'Pets at Home' to kickstart our 'Animal Friend' badge, to an early Saturday morning visit to Redhill Library for the IT badge.
On 3rd February we were joined by Mike, our Group Scout Leader for our 'Mad Scientists' evening. There were lots of hands-on activities and even the chance to see how to make fire!!
On 24th February we were out and about in Gatton Park on the hunt for nocturnal animals. Louis' Mum showed us around and we even found a few creatures - stuffed rather than real unfortunately!!
World Book Day on 2nd March featured a 'Where's Wally Evening' and the Beavers were able to earn their 'Imagination' activity badges. We eventually found Wally under one of the blankets.
Our St. Patrick's day Ceili was a roaring success with a special visit from Hawk's Irish cousin Seamus who hosted the evening. We even had an Irish dancing demonstration from Kate and Isabella before having a go ourselves under the expert instruction of Leona, to the music of Annie's grandad on violin.
The term finished on a high note with Ron's campfire and games night which was attended by our special guest Father Chris.
Looking forward to a great Summer Term.
