Scouts come first in Masterchef Competition

On Saturday afternoon 17th Reigate Scouts entered a team into the District Masterchef Competition. The team showed great team work and timing, and came first against some tough competition.

 .

The team, comprising Rosie, Tasha, Edward and Skye, had expert coaching and advice from Simon Mills, who also devised the menu of Osso Bucco Alla Romana with Polenta, followed by Tiramisu.  The team had just two practice sessions before the competition.  I tasted the food after the practices and am not surprised that the team managed to do so well.

Well done to the team, and grateful thanks to Simon for all his culinary advice, and giving up his time for both practice sessions as well as being at the competition to offer moral support.  Thanks also to Ben for assisting on Saturday.
